On September 5, 2020, Adam Dwain Jones was led into Heaven by his father, Dwain Jones and his grandpa, Frank Cook. Adam was an awesome son, husband, father, brother, and nephew. Adam loved music and sports; he was a huge fan of the Carolina Tarheels, Carolina Hurricanes, and Green Bay Packers. He loved to fish, hunt, and spend time with his family. In recent years, he was unable to do a lot of physical activities. Adam took up cooking and gardening, and he had a “helluva” green thumb.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Estil Dwain Jones, his grandpa Frank Cook, and his granddaddy, B.H Wade.
He is survived by his mother and best friend, Susan Cook Jones, his wife and the love of his life, Brandi Heather Whitehurst Jones, his children Katlyn, Madison, Trenton, Wyatt, and Jordan Jones all of Clayton, NC. His brothers, Luke Jones of Clayton, NC, and John Taylor of Greenville, NC. His grandmothers, Alice Feazel and Wanda Wright (Dab Wright). His aunts, Nikki Mitchell (Matt Mitchell), Treva Spivey (Jim Spivey). His uncles, Roger Jones (Kathy Jones), and Lance Feazel of Illinois. His in-laws, Tracy and Jackie Shaw, and Larry and Connie Whitehurst of Pactolus, NC. Grandmothers, Joyce Woolard of Greenville, NC and Rachel Wade of Winterville, NC. Brother in-laws, Jeremy Shaw of Belvoir, NC, Christopher Garns of Hookerton, NC, Jamie Morris of Pactolus, NC. Sister in-laws, Tiffany Snow of Greenville, NC. Amanda Morris of Pactolus, NC, Kristin Shaw of Belvoir, NC, and Trisha Garris of Hookerton, NC. Nieces, Logan and Riley Jo Shaw of Belvoir, NC, and Daphanie Blount of Greenville, NC. Also, a host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins. Along with his fur babies, Emily “Ham Bone” Jones and Memphis “Rubble on the Double” Jones.
In a short life, Adam made a huge impact on many people. He made many memories with his family and loved them all so very much. He was a fighter and never gave up. He will truly be missed.
