The “Life Story”
Alton Ray Wooten called Ray by family and friends passed away at 57 on January 25, 2024. He passed away at Transitions hospice in Raleigh NC of cancer.
Alton Ray Wooten loved the Raleigh Hill neighborhood close by Zebulon NC. He lived near there most of his life and loved it so much he rarely left the neighborhood. Rays companion outside was his dog, Roscoe with whom he cared for deeply. He loved children and was known to go to store and bring back snacks and or ice cream. Ray enjoyed taking country rides in Zebulon, spending time in the truck with his brother Theodore and other family/ friends in the neighborhood.
Mr. Ernest Wiggins being one of his good Friends. When family came by he was ready to put something on the grill and play music. He also enjoyed riding his scooter, playing horseshoes, and sitting outside enjoying the country air. Ray enjoyed fixing things; you will often catch him working on a project by his self or with his Brother Theodore. Ray loved to have a good time accompanied by his favorite beer King Cobra. He loved to listen/ dance to music and had classic Ray dance moves.
Ray always would say” I am strong, I am Gods Son and He got me”.
