Benny Franklin Dean (aka Frank/Frankie), aged 64, of Fuquay Varina, NC, passed away on 05/19/2023 after a 1.5 year battle with cancer.
Frank, born on 12/28/1958, to Frank Dean and Esther Messer in Smithfield-Selma, NC. He graduated high school from SSS in 1977 and went to ECU where he received a bachelor’s degree in history. He fathered 2 beautiful girls, Ivy and Isabel and worked for USPS from 1993 to 2021. Frank was known for making people laugh, for his cooking and for his generosity.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Dean in 1968 and Esther Messer in 2007. He is survived by his daughters Ivy Ivey(Dustin) and Isabel Jamal (Asad); his grandchildren Jaxon Ivey and Mia Ivey. His girlfriend, Heather Gansman. His brothers Jimmy Dean (Teresa), Tony Dean (Terrie) and Lenny Messer(Billy-Jean). He also leaves behind many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
