Charles Delaney Hicks, was born July 15, 1957, to the late Robert Lee Hicks, and Mary Ruth Hodge at Saint Agnes Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina. Charles departed his earthly life on May 14, 2022 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Charles attended East Wake High School in Wendell, North Carolina. He liked to travel, cook, and do odd jobs. He also loved gospel singing and music.

He leaves to cherish his memories; one sister Mary Linda Hicks of Waterbury, Connecticut; special friends John, and Beverly Merritt, and a host of other relatives and friends.
