Clifton Leon Banks

The world became brighter on November 30, 1957, the day that Clifton Leon Banks was born to the late Charlie and Beatrice Banks.

Clifton, affectionately known as “Cliff”, graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School. After high school, he worked as a roofer at Baker Roofing Company. He enjoyed rebuilding bicycles (chopper) and
skateboards. Cliff had a sense of humor that would have you laughing and crying all at the same time.

Clifton sadly passed on October 5, 2023. Our family sadly lost an important member. He was preceded in death by his sisters Linda F. Hines and Annie B. Leach. Clifton left behind a son Rodriguez Battle, who will miss him dearly; three brothers, Lemuel Banks (Tonya) of Raleigh, Nilous Banks (Barbara) of Clayton, and Jerry Banks (Katrina) of Zebulon; three sisters, Loretha Cooke (Robert) of Charlotte, Elsie Brooks of Raleigh, and Angela Dunn (Steve) of Knightdale; and a host of nephews, and nieces, other relatives and friends.
