Colleen Angela Johnson departed this life and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at University of North Carolina Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Colleen Johnson, daughter of the late Collie Johnson and Lillie Mae McLendon was born on August 1, 1957. Born and raised in Hamilton, NJ Colleen was educated in Hamilton Township Public School systems and was a 1975 graduate of Hamilton High School West – Watson.

Collen furthered her education after relocating to North Carolina. She was employed by the Guilford County School District, Estes Hills Elementary School and Walgreens Stores.

Colleen enjoyed anything Prince related. She additionally enjoyed playing the piano, all kinds of music, and shopping.

Colleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was loved by everyone that knew her. She always had an encouraging word and a listening ear. She was a true inspiration to her family and friends. She will surely be missed by family and friends. Predeceased by her sister Annie Grace Boykins-Sedares, she leaves to mourn her untimely passing, her ex-husband, Kenith L. Pierce of Trenton, NJ; three daughters Karin L. Johnson of Greensboro, NC, Kenette L. Johnson of Hamilton, NJ and Colleen Michelle Johnson of Georgia; one son, Alexander J. Johnson of Lillington, NC; eight grandchildren; Michael Johnson, Michaela Johnson, and Makai Yon of Greensboro, NC, Christian I. Maneiro, Nialani L. Morales, Gabriel A. Reyes of Hamilton, NJ, Morgan Johnson, Morshawn Harris, of Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Hope Johnson of Greensboro, NC; two very special friends, Eddie Caldwell and Brenda Edwards in addition to a host of family and friends in New Jersey and North Carolina.

Cremation will be private. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
