We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at R M Ferguson Funeral Service
Cynthia Lehr Bell Casey was born on May 22, 1959, and entered her eternal life with her Savior, Jesus Christ on May 29, 2022. She fought a very Courageous Battle with CLL with grace all the while continuing to love her life, family and helping others along the way with her compassionate giving spirit. She eventually succumbed to pneumonia. She will be remembered for the unique qualities that made her so special. She was a giver, nurturer, jokester, crafter, dancer, avid pool player and could beat the best at any card game.
A True Southern Belle, Cindy was born in Savannah Georgia to a tight knit family of eight children, but spent most of her life in Clayton, NC. For many years, she worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in Special Education with Wake County Public Schools and a Nanny for several families. Children gravitated to her at school, within her family, and community. She was able to care for and bring the best out of any child. She was a cherished Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt and Friend to all that knew her. She remained closely devoted to her children, grandchildren, siblings, and their families and they her. Her smile, laughter and witty comebacks will be missed! To know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Green Bell Sr and Frieda Lehr Crawford Bell as well as her brothers, Bobby Green Bell Jr, Ronald Sandy Bell, and Steven Carl Bell. She is survived by her loving sons, Paul Lee Casey and Bryan Dale Casey, grandchildren Dillon Casey, Aiden Casey, Lawson Casey and Marley Casey, brothers and sisters, Carol Bell Poole (Mike), Shirley Bell Fenters (Ron), Edward Crawford Bell (Debbie), and Gary Andrew Bell (Terrie) as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses on the second floor of Johnston Health in Clayton for their care, love, and compassion. The family further requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at https://www.lls.org.
