Dana "Randy" Morris passed away on Jan 12, 2021 and is now at peace after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on Feb 18, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA to Robert H. Morris of Sheldon, Iowa and Charlotte A. Lumby of Sanbron, Iowa, both deceased. After graduating from George Washington High, he attended the University of California Long Beach and graduated with a BA in Economics. He went to work for Xerox in financial planning and analysis and was later transferred to the Bay Area. After Xerox, he went to work for Solectron where he worked on over 25 M&A projects in North America and globally. He loved having the opportunity to travel the world meeting other people and experiencing other cultures. He transferred with Solectron to Raleigh, NC in 2004 where he eventually "retired". After discovering that "retirement" literally meant "being put out to pasture" on our 4 acres, he decided to return to work and landed a job with the State of NC in their IT dept. where he continued working until his diagnosis in Jan 2020.
He is survived by his spouse, Susan (Goga), and 4 kitties, Aziana, Cleopatra, Mumbo, and George. We will miss his laughter, his humor, his curiosity, and spirited discussions but he will forever be in our memories and in our hearts. We will miss you, dear friend. Love and peace be yours.
