We are celebrating the wonderful life of Deborah Ann Lasater, who left us on September 8th 2020 with her family by her side in Garner, NC to start her new journey.
Deborah was born on July 13th, 1955 in Durham, NC to James Vernon and Mary Lenier Chestnut. She graduated from Orange High School and went on to attend Alamance Community College where she obtained an Associates of Arts degree as a Medical Secretary. She worked for Duke as a staff coordinator for 30+ years until she retired. In her younger years she sang in a church choir where she met the love of her life and father of her children Ron Lasater. Where their family grew and gave her six beautiful grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest through the simplest pleasures. She had a uncanny way of reaching people in a deep and positive way. She also had a way of making you cry just by seeing how tender hearted she was. She was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Some of her interests included Family, Gospel Music, Singing, Cross Stitching, and Reading.
Anyone who know Deborah was bless to know her and have her apart of their lives. She believed to always pray to have eyes that see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, a soul that never loses faith in God.
Deborah will be sorely missed by her brother Francis Chestnut, her former husband Ron Lasater, her two sons and theirs spouses Kevin and Dominique Lasater, Todd and Michelle Lasater. Her loving six grandchildren, Kylie, Taylor, Allison, Eli, Aubrie, Silas. Along with with many family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her father James Vernon Cheatnut and her mother Mary Lenier Chestnut.
