Gabriela Martinez Vallejo was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico on May 24 1953. Her parents Valentin Martinez Alonso y Armandina Vallejo Morales along with her siblings grew up in Mexico where Gabriela would often go out to the store and run errands for her parents and go and visit her friends. Her mother Armandina tought Gabriela how to cook delicious food and she passed this knowledge to her children.
She is survived by her husband Manuel De Jesus Galvan Mendez her 3 children José, Edel and Gabriela as well as her grandkids and brothers and sisters.
Her favorite place to go eat was Toreros Mexican Restaurant in Cary NC and she would always get her Fajitas Texanas but offer the shrimp to whoever placed dibs first. Her favorite drink is a diet coke although she loved having her black coffee every morning with a pastry or pan dulce. Her favorite pass times include watching novelas, turning on the radio and dancing to music and going out and spending time with family either at parties, road trips or even just for the weekend sleepover with her little sister Valentina.
In her later years Gabriela spent time with her grandchildren Thiago and Valentina as she watched them, often played with and loved very much. She will be laid to rest beside her big brother Valentin Martinez Vallejo at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina.
In her memory go listen to her favorite song La Abeja Miope and dance like no one is watching.
Don’t remember me with sadness,
Don’t remember me with tears,
Remember all the laughter
We’ve shared throughout the years.
Now I am contented
That my life it was worthwhile,
Knowing as I passed along the way
I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you’ve got me on your mind,
I’m walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
So please don’t be unhappy
Just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I’m with you
