Heather Wade Humphrey

On Sunday June 4, 2023 Heather Wade Humphrey lost her hard-fought battle with cancer and entered into eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Heather was born on July 30, 1972 to the late Furman Elmo Wade and Stella Elaine Wade.

Heather grew up in Raleigh and attended Enloe high school. From an early age you could find Heather cheering on the races at Wake County Speedway and also was awarded Miss Wake County Speedway in the late 1980’s. Heather met the love of her life David Humphrey through racing and they married on March 19, 1993. Heather enjoyed owning her Pet Store at the Raleigh Flea market and always enjoyed a good trip to the beach with some good fishing. She enjoyed and took pride in being the full-time caretaker for the late Herbert Keeler & also took amazing care of her mother as well. Heather has four beautiful daughters whom she devoted her entire life to. Her girls were her best friends and anytime they needed her, she would make a way to always be there. Heather also had 4 beautiful grandsons and they called her Bubbles. She always made sure her grandbabies were safe and well taken care of.

Heather is predeceased by her father Furman Elmo Wade, and survived by her mother Stella Elaine Wade, her father and mother in-law John & Louise Humphrey, her husband David Humphrey, her sister and brother-in-law Terisa & Jon Hall, several Brother & Sister in-laws, her four daughters and son-in- laws, Tiffany & Walter Gentzel, Amanda Humphrey & Michael McKinney, Haylie & Andrew Mas, and Makayla Humphrey & Christopher Brooks. She is also survived by her four grandsons Braden & Jacob Gentzel and Dawson & Derek Mas and several aunts, cousins, niece, & great nephews whom she loved dearly.

We invite you to the Celebration of life service on Sunday June 11, 2023 starting with visitation with the family at 5:15pm followed by a beautiful service at 6pm located at Heritage Circle Church 4285 Trinity Rd. Raleigh, NC. It is located on the grounds of the State Fairgrounds and is accessible by arriving through Gate 9 on Trinity Rd and follow signs for parking. Flowers may be delivered between 12pm-5pm Sunday June 11, 2023 to Heritage Circle Church 4285 Trinity Rd. Raleigh North Carolina 27607
