Obituary
Jerome “Chief” Allen was born on October 29,1968, in Wake County, NC, to the late Joe Louis and Eula Brown Allen. He entered into eternal rest on April 16, 2023 at Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC.
Chief was educated at Johnston County Public Schools. He worked at Iron Earth Construction until his health began to fail. Chief had a love for cars and motorcycles and enjoyed working on them. He was a kindhearted person, that never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face.
Chief leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Antoinette Whitaker of Kenly, NC; four children, Devonte Whitaker Allen of Kenly, NC, Emoniey Romilus of Jacksonville, Fl, Kevin Whitaker of Washington, NC and Shavon Whitaker of South Carolina; four siblings, Eula Dobbin (Gary) and Felicia Bailey (Michael) both of Selma, NC, Therese Allen (Donald) of Smithfield, NC, and Clifton “Jerry” Allen ( LaShelle) of Spring Lake, NC; one aunt, Mildred Brown of Bailey, NC; nine nieces and nephews; a special friend, DeVoria Cummings of Selma, NC; special cousin, Joe Brown of Bailey, NC; and a host of other family and friends.
