Obituary
Kathie Lynn Reeves, age 71, a long‐time resident of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, died of natural causes on February 28, 2023, at the Pruitt Health Care facility in Durham, North Carolina, after an extended stay.
Kathie is survived by three cousins, Lea Ann McCormick of San Diego, California; Michelle Clark of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Carol Dickson of Holly Springs, North Carolina. She is also survived by her close friends Dave & Helen Young of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She was pre‐deceased by both of her parents.
Kathie was born in Fayetteville, NC to Madeline and C. Earl Reeves, Jr. She graduated from Eastern Carolina University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, with extended studies in Fine Arts Design. During her career, she worked in public relations, marketing and advertising sales for TV, radio and newspapers. Kathie was a member of New Hope Church in Durham, where she was involved in several church programs as a volunteer. When Kathie felt a personal calling to serve the Lord, she enrolled in Regent University in Virginia in May 2020, to pursue a graduate degree in divinity, where she enjoyed and excelled in her
studies.
Kathie will be buried in the Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her family. Services will be private.
