Lisa Kay Ferrell

Lisa Parks Ferrell, 66, of Cary, NC, passed away on Friday, July 28th. Lisa was born on June 25th, 1957, to the late William "Bill" Lamar, Sr. and Edna Louise Wilkerson Parks in Abbeville, SC. In addition to her parents, Lisa was proceeded in death by her sister, Linda Parks Gaffney of CA.

Lisa graduated from Abbeville High School in 1975. After graduation, she attended Spartanburg Methodist College and ultimately graduated from Lander University with a degree in Early Childhood in 1979. Lisa taught in Calhoun Falls, SC, worked for the Boy Scouts in Wilmington, NC, and in Durham for Merrill Lynch. Eventually, Lisa moved to Cary where she worked at a number of companies, including Central Research, GlaxoSmithCline, Tekelec, Oracle and numerous contract jobs.

Lisa had many friends with whom she enjoyed keeping in touch. She also greatly adored animals and did her best to be sure her "fur babies" were happy. She worked towards finding homes for animals in need.

Lisa is survived by her daughters Heather Ferrell Loke (Chris); Leigh-Anne Ferrell Warnement (Tim); grandchildren Hannah and Samantha Loke; brother William "Bill" Lamar Parks, Jr. (Candy); sister Lana Parks Martin (Steve); brother-in-law Faris Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and Lisa requested no services.
