Lynnette Alice Naudé (Née Anderson) of Clayton, North Carolina passed away just seven weeks after being diagnosed with Mesothelioma, on April 26th, 2023.
Lynne was born at Kenilworth Nursing Home in Johannesburg, South Africa. After attending Hill Extension Primary School; The Hill High School and Commercial High School, she worked as a bookkeeper for almost 50 years, only recently retiring in the fall of 2022.
Lynne is fondly remembered as a beautiful, kind, and fun-loving lady, with an amazing sense of humor. She was dearly loved by her family and friends. A more frugal person was hard to find, but with a kind and generous heart.
Lynne is survived by her beloved and devoted husband Richard Naudé of almost 55 years (June 1st 1968), her eldest son Craig Naudé, wife Nadine and Grandson, Aidan; her middle son Gregory Naudé, wife Lucy and Grandsons Alex and Benji; and her youngest son, Robert Naudé, wife Holly and Granddaughters Charleigh and Lyndzie, and Grandson Henry; along with many dearly loved family and friends who live all around the world.
Through the years Lynne thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing indoor games and competing in modern dancing competitions. She was an active member of the Round Table Club, and the Red Hatters Society and was a very talented oil and sketch artist.
Lynne was preceded in death by her father Alexander Charles Christian Anderson, her mother Doreen Gertrude Anderson and her brother Lionel Anderson.
Due to a visa hold up at the US embassy for immediate family members living abroad wishing to travel internationally, including some other considerations, her memorial and celebration of life service will be delayed until May 27th. The service will be held at ‘Way of Life Baptist Church’ in Clayton, NC, at 11am on Saturday, May 27th with the Rev. Scott Tucker and Dr. Kenneth Williams officiating.
The service will be followed by a light luncheon, where everyone in attendance is welcome to join in. The family has requested that attendees be so kind as to please RSVP if planning to attend the lunch after the service, but there is no need to RSVP if you plan to attend the service only.
