Mary Ann Feltman, 65, passed away Saturday, May 21st, 2022, surrounded by family and friends after a decade long battle with Multiple System Atrophy. Mary was born in 1956 in Lewisburg, PA, to Rena E. Catherman and William A. Kahl.
Mary was a very religious woman, who devoted many hours and much time to the Milton, PA, Northumberland, PA, Dunn, NC, and Spring Lake, NC, congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed spending time out in field service with her Witness family and attending meetings, even when they were held on Zoom. Mary loved nature, hiking with her kids, fishing off the piers and working in the yard with her husband. She was a tough, hard-working woman, always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and always smiling. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Herbert A. Feltman Jr., who she met and married in Sunbury, PA in January 1997. She is also survived by her son, Seth M. Gummo, of Bellefonte, PA, her son and daughter-in-law, Samuel J. Gummo and Marlaina Gummo, of Sunbury, PA, her daughter, Sarah A. Gummo, of Boone, NC, her stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, John E. Feltman and Renee Feltman, of Danville, PA, her stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Sarah M. Beck and Jason Beck, of Harrisburg, PA, two granddaughters, Fiala I. Williams, of Monroeville, PA, Malia R. Gummo, of Sunbury PA, one grandson, Corbin R. Gummo, of Sunbury PA, and one step-granddaughter, Abbigail E. Feltman, of Danville PA. Mary is also survived by her mother, Rena E. Catherman, of Oviedo, FL, her older brother, Allen S. Murray and wife Dauna Murray, of Hillsboro, OR, her five younger sisters, Diana Davenport, of Oviedo, FL, Terry Matrey, of Williamsport, PA, Kim Kahl, of Mifflinburg, PA, Marci Heimbach, of Milmont, PA, Tarita Mantz, of Sunbury, PA, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her father, William A. Kahl, of Hartleton, PA but surviving is his wife Sharon Kahl also of Hartleton, PA.
Mary's family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to Carla, Anne, and all of the other wonderful hospice nurses and support staff at Community Home Care & Hospice of Lillington, NC. They took great care of Mary and were always able to make her smile, no matter how much pain she was in.
Memorial services will be held via a Zoom service at the Spring Lake, NC Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
In lieu of flowers, Mary's family asks that donations be made to the Multiple System Atrophy Coalition or any other organization that supports MSA research.
