Jane Geiger, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away from pancreatic cancer on May 16,2022. She was 86 years old. Jane was born on May 6, 1936 and grew up on a beautiful 350 acre dairy farm in Richmond, Vermont, alongside 11 siblings. She was a wonderful piano player and loved to read. She also liked to play and watch golf. Her family was originally from Quebec, Canada, so she lived in a bi-lingual house. She married, moved to New York City and on to New Jersey where her 4 children grew up. Additional moves followed to Virginia and North Carolina to be near family. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their activities, performances and various sports.
Jane was preceded in death by her daughter Linda, her parents, Gedeon and Leonille (Dutil) Noel, brothers Claude, Sylvio and Leopold (Paul) Noel, sisters Blanche Boucher, Bibianne (Bea) Cox, Marguerite (Peg) Cartier and Bertha LaCroix.
She is survived by her son Jim Geiger, his wife Karen and grandsons Benjamin and Derek of Raleigh, NC, daughter Karen Lydon and her husband Mike of Marlton, NJ, and son Bill Geiger, his wife Barbara, granddaughter Hope (Erik), along with 3 great grandchildren, Theo, Everett and Henry, of Gilbert, AZ. Her surviving siblings are Albert (Gladys) of Middlesex, NC, Cecile LaPorte of Williston, VT, Claire Beauchemin of S. Burlington, VT and Clement Noel (Ruth) of Underhill, VT.
Services will take place at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and Cemetery in Richmond, Vermont at a future date, to be determined by family. She will be buried alongside her parents and brothers.
