Obituary

Nikko Jayceon Marques Barnes was born April 28,2021 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Nikko was unexpectedly called to rest Saturday, September 17,2022. His sweet little soul left a footprint on anyone he touched. To know our Nikko was to love him. He had such a gentle spirit. He was an extraordinary child,  sweet, kind, affectionate and extremely smart. Nikko went by many nicknames Moo-Moo, Da-Da, Nikko bear, Tink Tink and many more . His smile warmed your soul and his laugh filled your heart with such joy you forgot about that long day you had. To be such a little guy he had the best conversations that you actually understood and after you were done talking it over with a full “ba-ba” he really knew your feelings and he was was there to personally comfort you with cuddles and kisses. His favorite foods were Bananas Chicken and Fries as he would frequently grab snacks and ask “can you open it” or “can I have some and sat there until he got it.

Our gentle giant loved animals especially puppies as he couldn’t wait to be independent and chase after that thing making all the noise along with him through out some nights. One can often feel pure bliss in the simplicity of watching   him become independent discovering new things through his big gorgeous brown eyes. Such an  observant and curious child he never wanted to miss a beat. He loved playing with his siblings often rough housing as if he was bigger than his rivals .. he did conquer a lot of hearts. He enjoyed Bath time and Swimming the excitement he got out of the  eating bubbles is a simple treasure that will be missed dearly. His laugh saturated our hearts with peace. His kind spirit a short delight. Nikkos beautiful little face and chubby little stature will be missed piddle paddling around the house spreading that little  piece of comfort through giggles and tiny steps. Nikko touched a lot of hearts in the time he was loaned to us and his presence will truly be missed dearly.

Nikko was the son of Howard Jermel Barnes (preceding him in death) and mother Kimberly Lashea Mallory. 5 siblings Keyante Barnes, Jaylen Barnes, Uriah Mallory, Taliyah Barnes and Talaiya Barnes; 2 grandmothers Constance Cheek (Robert),  Marjorie Mangum, Great Grandmothers Mary Coleman Peggy davis (preceding in death) 2 grandfathers Kenneth Mallory, Howard Lee Barnes, 3 aunts Aleiya Fields, Christina Mallory, Shawnda Dowell(Charles), 4 uncles Anthony Mallory(Ashley),Shelly Fields Jr, Howard Laquail Barnes, Kenneth Mallory Jr.
