Obituary

Norris P. Clark was born June 10, 1965. He departed this life May 8, 2023.

He is preceded in death by his father Mr. Alfred  Clark,  brother Brandon Burnett, his sister Marielle Clark, and his dear niece Nadia L. Burnett.

He leaves behind to mourn him; his mother Maxine Royal of Raleigh NC, his two sisters Nicole Ferrell, and Natalie Burnett both of Raleigh NC. A son, Corey McCullers( Raleigh NC), four nieces, Nikimia Lyons, Tawana and Erica Clark (Raleigh), and Keyjana Cobb( Durham NC). Four nephews, Antonio Clark (Raleigh NC), Ja’quan Cobb (DurhamNC), Caisay Perry (Raleigh NC), and Demikael Cobb( Durham NC) also, a host of cousins- Lamont and Linda Johnson, Marvin Johnson, Precious Johnson. Also many other family and family friends.

Norris lived his life here in Raleigh NC, attended Athens-drive High school, worked many odd-jobs, and was a die hard Red-Skins fan! He enjoyed spending time with his family. He would be there for anyone who asked for or needed a hand, and he wasn't afraid of some hard work! Bae Bae fought a good fight in his life. Although there are things that were left unfinished, he was working to right the wrongs and make his life better for himself and his family that he wanted to help. Norris knew that he could not get back those years lost, or special events missed, but he made the effort to catch-up with his friends and family;. He wanted to let them know that he was there and that he loved them. Bae Bae’s last name may have been “Clark but he was a true Burnett, and proud of it

Norris wasn’t always here for us to get to know him but in the time we shared with him seemed like a lifetime. So all who were fortunate enough to spend time with him would surely have a good me and Bae Bae story to tell!

Throughout his life there were many times he had been knocked down, but he always got back up! Life could not keep him down. When we sit and think of him and tears start to fall, think of what Bae Bae would say. “What you crying for?” was his main saying, he always had a positive outlook on life. Therefore, When you are sad or lonely, think of one of those good ol’ bae bae stories and laugh.

As we leave here to carry on with this fight take comfort in knowing that Bae Bae has finished his fight and don’t have to struggle any more, for he is taking his rest now and we are not saying ‘good-bye’, we’ll just say, “see you later Norris, you may have left us too soon but we understand that you had to go for God has called your name”. Just know that every life and heart you touch will carry you on for a lifetime.
