Obituary
Pamela “Pam” Jean Janes, of Raleigh, was a caring wife, mother, nana, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly yet peacefully on March 11th, 2023 at the age 71.
Pam was born in Coral Gables, FL to Durwood Tyus & Ruth Jennings Tyus on October 19th, 1951.
Pam loved spending time with her family and friends. Pam enjoyed playing a great game of pool as well as card games. Pam had a love of being outdoors while fishing with her late husband, Wayne.
Pam will be greatly missed by her family and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Pam is survived by her daughters, Angela West & her husband, Devin West; Chantel Janes; her four grandchildren, Jordan, Kali, Nolan, and Finn; her sisters, Patricia Whiteside & her husband, Steve Whiteside; Katherine Velez; Helen MacDonnell; as well as her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Wayne L. Janes and sister
Memorial service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church (3120 N. New Hope Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604). There will be a visitation held on March 16th, 2023, at 3:00pm followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm. The family will be receiving guest immediately following the service at the West's home in Raleigh.
