Minister Patti Arlene Barbour was born in Bridgeton, NJ on February 20, 1952 to the late Carlos Diaz-Marquez Sr and Ida H. Johnson. She departed this earthly life on Saturday May 7, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones.
She received her education in the Bridgeton Public School System of New Jersey, where she completed all grades through high school. After graduation she enlisted into the United States Air Force and received an Honorable Discharged. Later in life she attended Goldey-Beacom College where she earned an associate degree in Business Administration. She did this while being a full-time mother and working at the Delaware State Hospital as a Psych Tech.
In 1997, she married her soulmate Moses Barbour and relocated to North Carolina. She spent a short time working at Holly Hill Hospital and KPMG. Patti became a member of Solid Rock Ministries International and her journey into ministry began. In 2006, she was ordained as a Minister to preach the Gospel and exercise her gifts in the work of the Ministry under the Late Pastor L. Foday Farrar. Patti traveled as far as African teaching the gospel. She also started an online Ministry better known as "God's Food for You" where she shared stories of her illness and how God's Glory kept her going.
In 2009 she became recognized and given the personal name of “Anointed Spirit” by the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Indian Tribe of New Jersey. Patti enjoyed helping Military families. She volunteered with the 805th Military Police Combat Support Battalions Family Readiness Group where she received special recognition. She also spent many years working with the elderly as a Home Health Aide. She took fulfillment in knowing she was helping others while sharing her journey. She gained love from those who became more than just patients. In her spare time, she enjoyed making custom jewelry and restoring photos in which she turned into an online business “Barbour Originals”.
Patti leaves to cherish her memory: Husband Moses Barbour; Children: Philip Still, Kimberly Racine, Curissa Still (Kenneth), and Roxy Barbour (Fur baby); Bonus Children: Tim Barbour and Tamica Barbour; Grandchildren: KeAsia, NyJai, Marlon, TeAira, TeAnna, Terriq, Cliff, Caleaf, Elijah, Mariyah, Jonathan, Vaughn, Cameronn, Stephon and Isabella; 17 Great Grandchildren; Brothers: Frank Diaz-Marquez (Coralene), John Johnson, Michael Diaz-Marquez; Sisters: Judy Petrucelli (Richard), Lorraine Walker, Alice Johnson, and Ruby Hernandez (Gabriel) and Sister-in-law Edith Hines (Erthel). 2 God Daughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Patti was predeceased by Sister: Lisa Pierce (Ben), Brother: Carlos Diaz-Marquez Jr.; Grandson Tracy Barbour and Great Granddaughter Jewel Amaya Esprite.
