Teresa “TC” Lamar was born on March 24, 1966 in the borough of Manhattan in New York, NY. After a long fight with declining health, she passed away at the age of 56 on April 22nd, 2022.
In her younger years, Teresa was raised by her mother, and later moved with her expanded family to New Jersey. She attended school in New York, and graduated from George Washington High School.
In young adulthood Teresa resided with her Grandmother Margaret in Maxton, North Carolina. She later returned to New Jersey for many years. Eventually, she moved with her mother and sisters to settle in North Carolina for the past 6 years. Throughout her career, Teresa worked as an office professional in various industries, including Harrison Career Institute, Balford Farms, and also as a caregiver for the disabled while residing in Maxton, NC. Her work ethic was appreciated at all of her positions, and she often received comments about how much she helped improve the workplace.
Teresa was known for her sense of humor and quick wit. She was a foodie that loved to cook and try new food, travel, watch movies, and catch a game of baseball or football. She loved to speak with anyone she met and could light up a room with her lively personality. She was a baptized Jehovah’s Witness who served as a volunteer at assemblies beginning at a young age. She also had the privilege of serving as an auxiliary pioneer and attended Pioneer School in the year 2000. She greatly comforted her family and friends with a firm hope of resurrection into paradise earth.
She is survived by her mother Georgette Lamar, and family members, Walter Hale, Michael (Tasha) Hale, Jason Hale, Joanna Hale, and Lydia Hale. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, Faith, Jasmine, Alex, Christian, Noah, and Trinity. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please send any donations to donate.jw.org.
